Advanced Solutions provides a wide array of services including Autodesk product customization, design verification, simulation, and custom software.

The Web Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and continuously improving web pages and sites for the Advanced Solutions, Inc. family of companies. The efforts of this position support the overall organizational goals of generating demand and interest for Advanced Solutions’ products and services.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists with planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of company’s websites
  • Creates custom HTML, CSS, and JS files
  • Designs sites with optimal user experience and desired user and company outcomes in mind
  • Monitors and reviews websites on a regular basis to ensure information is accurate, current and relevant
  • Optimizes site content for search engines based on key words in order to recommend site improvements for optimal SEO
  • Implement and manage Google Analytic accounts for all websites
  • Implement and manage Google AdWords or similar paid search ad campaigns
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Translate mockups (PS, Illustrator) into working prototypes
  • Develops, Manages, Supports corporate e-commerce site
  • Performs a wide variety of related tasks as business needs demand

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Understanding of basic design principles (alignment, typography, focus, white-space, contrast, etc.)
  • Skilled at using Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud
  • Proficient understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries such as jQuery
  • Proficient understanding of MVC design pattern
  • Working knowledge of server-side pre-processing platforms such as LESS and SASS
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning systems such as Git
  • Understanding of basic design principals
  • Skilled at Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
  • Strong understanding of website analytics tools, terminology and reporting
  • Mobile first design philosophy with strong responsive design skillset
  • Extremely strong work ethic, self-motivated and proactive
  • Project management skills and process improvement oriented
  • Detail oriented, proofs work thoroughly
  • Flexible, adaptable, thrives in fast-paced, deadline driven environments
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Experience with HubSpot or inbound marketing and content marketing strategy is a plus
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus
  • Ability to write web-optimized content a plus

Minimum Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Degree in Multimedia or Web Design a plus
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in web development
  • Portfolio/Github that can validate your working knowledge
Compensation

This is a full time position. Compensation will depend upon qualifications of the candidate along with educational background.
